We can also define a rule in aesthetic evaluation: aesthetic analysis should always take place “from the outside to the inside.”
What does this rule mean?
It means that first, we must evaluate the harmony or disharmony of the face in its general context, and then we individually assess the various components that make it up: the nose, the eyes, the maxillary bones (the bony bases), etc. They should be considered in relation to each other and symmetrically in relation to the mouth. Then we shift our focus to the center of the face: the mouth, specifically analyzing perioral aesthetics, particularly the lips in their frontal and profile appearance.
