Skin biorevitalization

The skin is one of the most sophisticated "organs" in our body.

It serves as a barrier against external threats, maintains internal body balance, regulates vital functions such as sweating, and plays a crucial role in interpersonal communication, including expressions of love. The skin has multiple layers, from superficial to deep, along with various appendages like hair, sweat glands, nerves, and blood vessels. It continually renews itself, taking about 20-30 days in young individuals and nearly twice as long in mature ones.

Therefore, just like any other organ, the skin requires protection, care, and nourishment.

What Are Bio-Revitalizers Used For?

Bio-revitalizations are medical treatments aimed at caring for the “skin” organ, which is increasingly stressed by environmental factors and pollutants, particularly in urban areas. They are also beneficial after prolonged sun exposure. This medical treatment aims to supplement the dermis with substances that our body can no longer produce in sufficient quantities, primarily hyaluronic acid. The reduction of hyaluronic acid in the dermis is a significant cause of skin aging as it is responsible for hydration, fibroblast reproductive capacity, and collagen synthesis. In addition to these substances, which the body can no longer produce, other compounds like vitamins, amino acids, minerals, nucleic acids, coenzymes, reducing agents, and antioxidants are added to stimulate and nourish the skin and, most importantly, detoxify this vital organ. This is achieved through a highly effective and straightforward cocktail administered through small injections.

This patient had noticed a loss of radiance and hydration in her skin. After a detailed evaluation, Dr. Frabboni recommended a bio-revitalization treatment to give her skin more luminosity and vitality. Using high-quality products, Dr. Frabboni provided the patient with a treatment that revitalized and rejuvenated her skin.

How Is the Administration Done?

The treatment involves making small injections that distribute these substances throughout the face, neck, décolleté, and hands—the body regions most exposed to photoaging (caused by light) and chronological aging (due to time). The revitalization programs have no contraindications and are suitable for all skin types and age groups.

How Many Sessions Will I Need?

In general, a single session will not suffice, and at least 3-4 sessions spaced about 10 days apart may be necessary, depending on the type of skin. Dr. Pier Carlo Frabboni will advise you on the most appropriate protocol for your skin type, taking into consideration factors such as pigmentation, wrinkles, or other issues. There is no need for special preparation, and anesthetic cream is typically not required.

What Skin Issues Are Suitable for Bio-Revitalizations?

Skin sagging, especially on the cheeks, neck, décolleté, and hands, as well as the presence of diffuse wrinkles.

Polyvitamin Cocktail with Hyaluronic Acid

This treatment consists of a combination of active ingredients, vitamins, amino acids, nucleic acids, reducing agents, anti-pollution substances, and biointeractive hyaluronic acid. It is injected throughout the face, neck, and décolleté in separate bumps approximately 1 cm apart along the entire facial contour, primarily in the cheek area. In the neck and décolleté, injections are made with a slightly raised intradermal bump, spaced about 1 cm apart along horizontal wrinkles, Venus necklaces, and décolleté.

These substances contribute to a genuine restructuring of the skin tissue due to various cellular biochemical reactions:

These treatments are excellent for individuals with photodamaged skin, smokers, and those with elastosis.

When Is Bio-Revitalization Useful?

Before and after other medical procedures, such as
facelifts, laser resurfacing, chemical peels, and dermal fillers.

Protocols: It is recommended that patients undergo 4 treatments spaced 10-15 days apart, if possible, twice a year. In addition to revitalizations, especially during the winter months, you can include light chemical peels. In this case, they should be spaced at least 15 days apart.

What Is the Difference Between Bio-Revitalization and Fillers?

Unlike fillers, which are used to fill wrinkles and increase volume, bio-revitalization works deep within the skin, improving its quality and structure. The substances used in bio-revitalization, such as hyaluronic acid or other bioactive ingredients, stimulate the natural skin regeneration process.

At What Age Can You Undergo Bio-Revitalization?

Bio-revitalization is suitable for various age groups. While fillers are often used to address more prominent signs of aging, such as deep wrinkles, bio-revitalization is a versatile treatment that can be suitable even for younger individuals looking to improve their skin’s quality and overall appearance.

Over 45:
To improve tone, elasticity, and microcirculation.
To stimulate cellular activity.

Under 45:
To maintain adequate deep hydration.
To maintain proper cellular function.
To delay the formation of wrinkles and other imperfections related to chronological and photoaging.

Can biorevitalization cause facial swelling?

Regarding swelling, biorevitalization is usually a well-tolerated treatment and does not cause significant swelling. At most, you might experience slight redness or mild temporary swelling in the treated area, which quickly disappears within a few days.
