Teeth Whitening
What is teeth whitening?
Dental whitening is the most common cosmetic therapy chosen by patients.
Dr. Frabboni, an expert in dental aesthetics, has 15 years of experience in dental whitening, making him a professional capable of using the most suitable techniques and products for each patient.
Regardless of the technique and material chosen, the result is always fast, safe, and effective tooth whitening. We offer both in-office whitening with an effect in one hour, and at-home whitening with a longer duration and more lasting effect.
Our types of intervention:
- In-office Whitening for an immediate effect! The treatment lasts one hour, during which you will be comfortably lying on a chair and can entertain yourself by watching a movie or listening to music.
- At-home Whitening, with the aid of custom gel carrier trays, for an extraordinary and more lasting effect.
- Nighttime at-home: the most classic, comfortable, and effective treatment using trays with gel during sleep.
- Daytime at-home: using trays with gel for 15 minutes once or twice a day. This solution is suitable for bruxists or those who do not feel comfortable using this procedure at night.
In this case, the patient’s requests were to improve the aesthetic appearance of teeth altered in color. Dr. Frabboni intervened with a dental whitening treatment, using a personal clinical protocol, to restore the brightness and brilliance desired by the patient.
RESOLUTION OF COMPLEX PIGMENTATIONS
Dental cosmetics aim to increasingly imitate the naturalness of teeth, using techniques aimed at making them whiter, improving their shape, creating alignment, and eliminating intrinsic stains.
One of these techniques is called Enamel Microabrasion and is used to remove deep stains, white or brown, that are not resolvable with traditional teeth whitening systems.
Another is Resin Microinfiltration useful in cases of very superficial stains. Finally, it is possible to use the complete removal of the stain and reconstruction of the lost enamel with high-aesthetic composite resin.
Often these techniques combined with dental whitening used in sequence optimize the final result: white teeth without milky or brown stains.
Dr. Pier Carlo Frabboni is an expert user of these techniques and materials, which are effective and safe for tooth enamel.

Products used for dental whitening
The two main products commonly used during whitening treatment are hydrogen peroxide and carbamide peroxide.
Hydrogen peroxide is a powerful whitening agent that penetrates through dental enamel and reaches the dentin, removing stains and lightening the surface. It is widely used by dentists and has been proven safe when used correctly.
Carbamide peroxide is another effective whitening agent. It breaks down gradually into hydrogen peroxide, slowly releasing the active ingredient. This makes it a versatile and safe option for dental whitening treatment.
Both products are carefully dosed and applied by the dentist during treatment. This ensures optimal results and minimizes the risk of undesirable effects, mainly tooth hypersensitivity, which manifests as a mild sensation of discomfort or pain when consuming hot or cold drinks that disappear within a day or two after treatment.
One of the main concerns when it comes to dental whitening is the non-toxicity of the products used. The products employed by dentists are specifically designed to be safe for the teeth and the patient’s overall health.
It is crucial to rely on an experienced professional to avoid permanent damage to the enamel. The substances used in our studio do not damage dental enamel and ensure a safe and personalized treatment.
