The patient wanted to improve the aesthetic appearance of her smile, compromised by the presence of several teeth altered in shape and color.
After conducting an examination of the dentition and applied kinesiology tests, Dr. Frabboni understood that, in addition to the aesthetic aspect, an intervention at the postural level was necessary: the patient, in fact, complained of pains, which turned out to be caused by incorrect engagement between the teeth (malocclusion), leading to an incorrect position of the mandibular joints and, consequently, problems in the patient’s posture.
Therefore, a mandibular repositioning therapy was performed using an orthotic. After 3 months, having resolved the pain issues with the use of the orthotic, a therapeutic course was undertaken to treat the dental pathologies.
Dr. Frabboni managed to correct the position and appearance of the teeth without resorting to orthodontic braces, using ceramic veneers, ceramic crowns, and aesthetic reconstructions in composite resin. The absence of two teeth was resolved with the use of dental implants. Finally, on very dark teeth, home dental whitening was performed.
